The winter months are approaching and in years past, this would be a time where snow is falling in the Sierras, the cold air creates frost on the front lawns in the neighborhood, and we would be bundling up in our cold weather gear to survive a short trip to the coffee shop down the road for a nice cup of hot cocoa. Not this year though. California has been being quite moody with the weather lately. A few weeks back it snowed in our hometown of Granite Bay but yesterday I was wearing shorts. That same week, it was dumping snow in Tahoe but a lot of that has seemed to melt away leaving a very thin base with dirt and boulders poking their heads out all over the slopes. Earlier this week on my first trip up to the snow, I had an unfortunate encounter with one of those boulders and did some damage to my leg. So I've been benched for a few days but won't let that stop me from having some fun.
That trip was spent with a bunch of friends from the water ski team and a few of my roommates, staying in south lake and shredding Kirkwood. I've made a video of all our fun that we had. When you're with a giant panda, tiger, and chipmunk, it sure makes for a lot of laughs and good times. Here is a link to the video Ooh Kig'em
More videos will be coming soon including a mountain biking video of my roommate and a video from a trip down to Half Moon Bay with my good friend the pilot, Kyle.
Here at Roam we wish you all a happy holiday season and that despite the moody weather, you're able to get out and have some fun wherever you are and wherever you want to go.
Happy Holidays!
